Johnston County
Affiliated Libraries

Six libraries. One card. Endless possibilities.

Library card

Six independent libraries, one shared commitment to our community. We are not a library system with branches. Each library is its own institution, rooted in and governed by its own community, with a shared goal to put more resources within reach of every patron we serve. Please note that library hours, programs, and services vary at each of these independent libraries. For more details, see individual library information below.

Through a shared library card and online catalog (NC Cardinal), patrons can borrow from affiliated libraries across the county. A regular courier service connects all six libraries so you can request items from an affiliate library and pick them up, or return them, at whichever location is most convenient for you. Additionally, patrons have access to a shared audiobooks and eBooks collection via Libby and online databases and other digital resources via NC LIVE.
