What is the Student Access Initiative and Which Schools are Included?
The Student Access Initiative provides access for K-12 students and educators to electronic and print resources from the public library. Johnston County Affiliated Libraries are partnered with Johnston County Public Schools and Neuse Charter School to expand students’ and educators' access to educational resources through this innovative program.
How Do Students and Educators Access Resources?
Students and educators may use their full student or staff state ID number as a library card. When logging into online library resources or your library account, use your full student or staff state ID number as your library card number. Online resources will require a PIN (password), which will be the last four-digits of the student or staff state ID number.
In addition to accessing electronic resources and library databases, users may also borrow up to ten print or physical audiobooks at one time with no overdue fees from public libraries located in Benson, Four Oaks, Kenly, Princeton, Selma, or Smithfield. Get more information about locations and contact information of Johnston County Affiliated Libraries by visiting our affiliates webpage at www.pljcs.org/jocolib.
