2026 Teen Summer Reading (Ages 13-18)

Unearth a Story!
The Public Library of Johnston County & Smithfield is excited to launch its 2026 Teen Summer Reading Program with the theme of "Unearth a Story at Your Library." Participation in our Summer Reading Program could earn you a prize! See the information below for more details.
Reading Logs:
-
Reading logs will be available beginning June 1st, 2026 at the Patron Services Desk.
-
Reading logs will be available throughout the summer.
-
Participants will use the reading logs at home to track their progress towards meeting reading goals and earning entries for our grand prizes.
-
Each log has spaces for you to record what you read or what programs you attend.
-
For each book you read or program you attend, you can pick a prize drawing to be entered into.
-
Any book format is acceptable (audiobooks, eBooks, manga, graphic novels, etc.)
-
When you turn in your reading log, your prize picks will be tallied up and entered into our drawings to win the following prizes: Sticker printer, Korean snack box, a Wreck This Journal box set, or a Dungeons & Dragons starter set.
-
The more programs or books you log, the better your chances are to win the Grand Prize!
-
The deadline to turn in all reading logs is July 31st, 2026.
-
Grand Prize winners will be announced in early August.
