WHO ARE WE?
The Teen Advisory Board (TAB) is a group of teens, ages 12-18, from Johnston County who are interested in having a say in what the library does for them.
WHAT DO WE DO?
The Teen Advisory Board's goal is to promote library services to teens at PLJCS and the community by:

Advising, planning, and implementing programs for teens and children;

Writing articles, reviews, and creative works for the teen blog;

Promoting ideas, reading, and expression by and for teens;

Recommending books, movies, music CDs, and magazines for the YA collection; and
-
Creating an inviting teen area in the library.
WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF IT?

Earn Volunteer time for school

Share your unique ideas

Plan and participate in events at PLJCS

Engage in special projects
-
Make PLJCS a more teen-friendly place
HOW MUCH TIME COMMITMENT IS REQUIRED?

TAB meets on the second Thursday of every month.

TAB maintains a blog to post reviews, discuss ideas, and work on team projects.

Additional hours as requested for special programs and projects.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
Fill out the PLJCS Teen Advisory Board application and return it to the Reference Desk at PLJCS.
