WHAT DO WE DO?

The Teen Advisory Board's goal is to promote library services to teens at PLJCS and the community by:

  • Advising, planning, and implementing programs for teens and children;

  • Writing articles, reviews, and creative works for the teen blog;

  • Promoting ideas, reading, and expression by and for teens;

  • Recommending books, movies, music CDs, and magazines for the YA collection; and

  • Creating an inviting teen area in the library.

WHAT WILL I GET OUT OF IT?

  • Earn Volunteer time for school

  • Share your unique ideas

  • Plan and participate in events at PLJCS

  • Engage in special projects

  • Make PLJCS a more teen-friendly place

HOW MUCH TIME COMMITMENT IS REQUIRED?

  • TAB meets on the second Thursday of every month.

  • TAB maintains a blog to post reviews, discuss ideas, and work on team projects.

  • Additional hours as requested for special programs and projects.
