Browse by Appointment



STEP 1: Schedule the date & time

  • Use the myLIBRO app

    • Download the myLIBRO app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store

    • In the myLIBRO app, choose Johnston County Affiliated Libraries and use your account information to log in

    • Choose your browse date & time, & simply follow the directions in the app

  • Go online to the myLIBRO appointment scheduler

    • Follow the directions to choose your browse date & time

  • Call us at 984-985-APPT

STEP 2: Arrive at the Library and let us know you're here

  • Use the myLIBRO app

  • Call us at 984-985-APPT to set up a pickup time

  • If you have items to return, place them in the drive-up drop box in the parking lot.

  • If you cannot make it to the Library and need an extra day to pick up your hold items, just contact the Circulation Department at 984-985-APPT.

Browsing by appointment is available to the public

Monday through Friday from 9 AM - 5 PM


  • Appointments will be scheduled in 30 minute increments.

  • All patrons must enter and exit through the Parking Lot entrance only.

  • When you schedule your appointment, you must say how many people will be coming.  Please make sure you adhere to the number of people you schedule.

  • When you schedule your appointment, you must say which section of the library you would like to browse: First Floor, Children’s, or Second Floor.  You may not browse any section of the library during your visit other than the section you declared when the appointment was created.

  • You must come during the appointed scheduled time.  Patrons must be out of the building at the end of their scheduled time in order for the next appointments to enter on time and allow staff to clean between visits.

  • This time is reserved for browsing and checkout only.

  • Children under the age of 12 must remain supervised by an adult at all times while in the library.

  • If you still wish to continue Curbside Pickup, those appointments may be made ­here.


Library Staff are wearing face coverings at all times.  Patrons will be expected to comply with the same precautions at all times within the library.  If you do not have a mask, we can provide one for you.  If you are unable to wear a mask, we will do our best to accommodate you without entry into the building through our Curbside Pickup Service.  A contactless temperature check station has been installed in the library.  All patrons must check their temperature before proceeding further into the building.
